How We Work at Consilimo
Consilimo is a leading supplier of interior decor, packaging, and decorative and floristry products. With six complementary brands – Edelweiss, Serviteur, Gus, Blooms, Holmen, and Lauvring – we offer a complete product range for flowers, gifts, interiors, and packaging. We do not operate physical stores but have a single online store for all our brands.
Our headquarters is located in Alna, Oslo, with 11 employees managing purchasing, product development, communication, marketing, and more. There is a high degree of transparency and collaboration between departments. At the headquarters, you will also find our CEO, Dag Leo Martinsen, and members of the management team, who make the overarching decisions.
Consilimo has 17 employees in total, both permanent and temporary. Our logistics department is located at our central warehouse in Hensmoen, Hønefoss. Today, Consilimo is part of the Dalema Group.
Consilimo does not own any factories. Instead, we collaborate with selected independent suppliers (manufacturers, agents, and brand suppliers) in Asia and the EU/EEA. Through our sister company, Opal East Trading Co., Ltd., we operate four production offices in our key markets: China, India, Vietnam, and Malaysia. These production offices work closely with our purchasing departments in Oslo and Fredrikstad to develop and manufacture new products. This collaboration ensures that our products meet our quality standards and helps improve production conditions where necessary. Purchases from Europe are managed directly from our headquarters.
Clear Rules of Engagement
At Consilimo, we source goods from factories and suppliers worldwide, including countries where there is a risk of human rights and labor rights violations. We hold a significant responsibility to ensure that our productions are carried out responsibly, respecting people, communities, and the environment. To support this responsibility, we have developed production and procurement guidelines that all members of our management, purchasing, and marketing teams are required to understand and follow. See our Guidelines for Responsible Production and Procurement.
To clarify our stance to all parties in our supply chain, we have also established Ethical Guidelines that all our partners must sign and comply with. Consilimo adheres to the group’s ethical trade standards, which form an integral part of our procurement agreements with suppliers. These guidelines are based on internationally recognized UN and ILO conventions, providing minimum, not maximum, standards.
The legislation in the production location must always be respected. Where national laws and regulations overlap with these guidelines, the higher standard shall apply. See our Ethical Guidelines for Suppliers.
For more information about our due diligence assessments, see the group’s report here.
